The KIT can help...

Are you overwhelmed by the amount of information you receive about services for your child and family? Are you fed up having to repeat the same information over and over to each new servie person you meet?

 

If so, CanChild and the Hamilton Family Network has developed a tool to help you give, get and organize information. 

 

The KIT is a ring binder and manual filled with information about how to make good use of your time and ideas. The KIT is a way to organize the informtion you give and receive about your child with a disability and your family.

The KIT: Keeping it Together

Available at the McMaster University Bookstore!

What is the KIT?
The KIT: Keeping it Together is an organizational tool for parents with children with disabilities, developed by CanChild Centre for Childhood Disability Research, and the Hamilton Family Network. It is a way to organize information for your child, and to assist you when interacting with different service systems, for example health, education, and recreation. Included is a User's Guide that will help you through the initial process of how to use the KIT.
